On 6th September, the commercial finance industry enjoyed a night of food, wine and entertainment at the New Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden. The evening, organised by Capital Corporate Finance, raised over Ј35,000 for Childline.
This is the third year that Carole Roe, managing director of Capital Corporate Finance and Helen Tinson, regional director, have organised what many consider the commercial finance charity event of the year.
Carole and Helen came up with the idea after attending a women-in-business dinner where Ester Rantzen, founder and chairman of Childline, was the guest speaker. She explained how Childline receives 10,000 calls a week, but due to lack of funds, only 3,500 are answered.
