Canbank Factors Q3 net up 50% , factored volume up 30%


Canbank Factors registered a 50 per cent growth during the third quarter of the fiscal year ended 31 December 2004 with profit after tax up by 5.423 per cent at Rs 7.96 crore.

The company, in a release today, said the funds deployed in the business during the period rose sharply to touch Rs 362.03 crore as against Rs 241.45 crore reported during the corresponding period last year. The total factoring volume stood at Rs 1,443 crore, up by 30 per cent as against Rs 113.53 crore during the corresponding period last year.

The total income for the third quarter stood at Rs 26.57 crore, up by nearly five per cent from Rs 25.33 crore during the corresponding period last year, the release added.
