Bibby signs up for anti fraud software

Liverpool-based factoring and invoice discounting company Bibby Financial Services has signed a deal with Chester's GB Group to use its web-based authentication software as part of its drive to combat identity fraud and improve customer service.

URU, an online identity verification, anti-money laundering and credit-application processing tool, was developed by anti identity fraud specialist GB Group with BT.

Bibby previously verified prospective client identities through the traditional paper method of driving licence and passport, which can be open to fraud and reproduction. The group has turned to GB Group in its search for a more efficient technology-based alternative.
