BDC and the Caisse create a $300 million SME fund


The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and the Caisse de dйpфt et placement du Quйbec (Caisse) have concluded an alliance to increase the amount of financing available to Canada's small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and support their growth.

The alliance is comprised of two components. The first part of the alliance calls for BDC to purchase a 50 per cent interest in a stipulated portfolio of private investments (up to $2 million) previously managed by CDP Capital - Americas (formerly managed by CDP Accиs Capital). Under the terms of this agreement, BDC will take over the management of this portfolio.
