van Schouwen Associates, a full service marketing and interactive agency in Greensboro, North Carolina, has been awarded the contract to design and implement a web site for BB&T Factors.
The factoring subsidiary of BB&T is an outsource for companys' credit and collection activities. In addition, it provides accounts receivable management tools and working capital financing.
The web project will allow BB&T's factoring clients to access critical information in real time. As proposed, the web-based system will take such information as client ledgers from the mainframe and place it on a secure server that can be accessed by a link from the home page.
"The web site solidifies our competitive position," said Robert C. Niebauer, president of the factoring division. "It will provide our clients with secure access to crucial financial and operational information with the speed and flexibility of the Internet."
