Barclays signs deal with Enterprise Uganda to boost SMEs


Barclays Bank has signed a partnership with Enterprise Uganda, to boost small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The deal was signed between the Barclays' head of Retail Performance, Ms Vivian Igundura and the executive director of Enterprise Uganda, Mr Charles Ocici, during a ceremony at Barclays Bank premises.

Enterprise Uganda is an institution designed to support the government of Uganda in realising its objective of promoting the development of SMEs to become the main vehicle for expanding production, providing sustainable jobs and enhancing economic growth.

The institution was established under a framework of the United Nations Development Programme Enterprise Africa regional initiative.
