Introduction  In the year 2000 the German Factoring association had 15 factoring companies (compared with 12 in 1999) as members. The combined sales of these factoring institutes was DEM 45.9 billion, 17.6% more than in 1999. 79.5% of the total turnover (DEM 36.5 billion) was domestic business and 20.5% (DEM 9.4 billion) was international business.
