Bank Pekao takes next step in consolidating its leasing companies

Bank Pekao has increased the capital of Leasing Fabryczny by zl. 15.7 million (US$4.2m), which now stands at zl. 28.1 million (US$7.4m). The bank did this through a transfer of shares from another Pekao-controlled company from the sector - Pekao Leasing.

"This move marks the beginning of the merger planned for next year of leasing companies controlled by bank Pekao. The next step of unifying the leasing activities will be the implementation of an unified and common IT system," said the deputy President of Pekao Leasing and Leasing Fabryczny.

The merger is due to be finalized in the second half of next year. The new venture, which will be formed as a result of the consolidation, will control a network of 30 outlets, and over 100 customer service offices. Its products will also be available through 1,500 Pekao branches. The target will be customers of Pekao and companies from its capital group.
