Banca Comerciala Romana named Best Romanian Bank 2002


The Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR) has been named "Best Romanian Bank" for 2002, by UK financial magazine Euromoney.

The bank has offered factoring services since 1998 and is currently involved in export and domestic factoring operations. Factoring turnover in 2002 reached Ђ50m. BCR is the largest Romanian bank with about 33% factoring market share

The bank has posted strong growth over the last three years, with its net profit rising from US$54 m in 1999 to US$164m in 2002.
