B2B credit reporting portal to sign up 25,000 by year-end 2003

Brazil's credit reporting network RNPN ( http://www.rnpn.com.br.) expects 25,000 member companies will use its B2B services by the end of next year, says Mario Firminio, technology director at RNPN parent company Bizavista.

About 6,000 RNPN member businesses have used the company's B2B services, such as request for quotations (RFQ), since they were offered in May this year, Firminio said, forecasting 15,000 users by mid-2003.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Sao Paulo state can join RNPN free of charge, which the company expects to lead to an "epidemic" of sign ups.

Sao Paulo's business associations federation Facesp and Sao Paulo city business association ACSP have mobilized 70 agents to help sign up SMEs.
