Assifact proposes factoring legislation update

Assifact (Italian Association for Factoring) has announced at the end of last year it made a number of proposals to the new Meloni government regarding factoring aimed to bring down liquidity shortages of Italian companies affected by the increase in energy costs and raw materials.

The factoring industry, which continued to grow around 17 per cent YOY as of October 2022, would benefit from the facilitation of the distribution of trade receivables by reducing bureaucracy, establishing clear and certain rules, and speeding up response times.
