Asociacion Espanola de factoring reports factoring volume up 18% in 2003


Asociacion Espanola de factoring (AEF), the Spanish factoring association, has released figures for 2003 showing a factored total of Ђ37.49 million, an increase of 18.22% compared to Ђ31.71 million for 2002.

Of the total, domestic factoring totalled Ђ36.44 million, up17.55% from the previous year, import factoring totalled Ђ0.50 million, up 68.39% and export factoring totalled Ђ0.54 million, up 32.32%.

The top three players account for 67.59% of the total.

BBVA Factoring reported Ђ13.10 million (34.95%), followed by SCH Factoring y Confirming and La Caixa with Ђ9.01 (24.03%) and Ђ3.23 (8.61%) respectively.
