Alliance Bank programme for SMEs and SMIs

Alliance Bank, in collaboration with McFab (M) Sdn Bhd, has launched the Tradelink Purchasing Card Programme, aimed at helping small- and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) and industries (SMIs).

Alliance senior general manager (consumer banking) Chan Chun Fee said the programme was an innovative purchasing and payment solution which provided retailers with an approved credit line for cashless trading as well as an additional credit facility to buy goods and services from suppliers listed with Tradelink.

Currently, Alliance has 30 suppliers providing retailers with cashless trading and it expects more suppliers to join the programme. The bank is targeting 500 retailers to sign up this year.

“Tradelink’s cashless payment system reduces the administrative workload of retailers and offers ready credit lines which are necessary amid increasing competition from major supermarkets and hypermarkets,” Alliance said in a statement.
