Achim Schmidt talks to BCR about the most important issues facing Enterprise Finance Europe today.

Enterprise Finance Europe (EFE) started its business activities in 2002 as a 100 per cent subsidiary company of the Bank of Ireland and is a member of Bank of Ireland Group. Mr. Achim Schmidt is managing director of their German subsidiary in Frankfurt.

BCR asked what are the main factors influencing the company’s turnover. Mr. Schmidt said: “We have noted an increase in demand for factoring solutions as a result of Basel II and more stringent credit policies by the banks. Demand has also increased due to business owners actively seeking creative, alternative financial solutions to avail of all opportunities to achieve a solid financial performance in this difficult economic environment.
