ABC group chief executive office says Zambian market responding well to invoice discounting


The African Banking Corporation (ABC) group is to invest an additional US$2million in its operations in Zambia because the country office performed better than expected.

Douglas Munatsi, ABC group chief executive officer said the group was impressed with the performance of ABC Zambia despite the slow down in the country’s economy.

“We are delighted with the performance of ABC Zambia and the group is intending to invest further in its Zambian operations. The market has been very supportive and a number of clients are happy with the flexible terms that we offer,” Mr Munatsi said.

Mr. Munatsi said the market was responding well to invoice discounting.

The African Banking Corporation group comprise financial services operations in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Tanzania and Malawi.
