2023: Polish factoring industry sees marginal turnover decrease amidst economic slowdown


The Polish factoring industry concluded 2023 with a marginal 2.3 per cent decrease in turnover. However, this decline is an improvement from the 3.3 per cent recorded at the end of the third quarter, indicating a gradual recovery in the market. Associated with the Polish Factors Association (PZF), companies purchased receivables totalling PLN450bn (EUR104bn), serving 26.3k businesses (a 6% increase from the previous year) which submitted 26.8m invoices for purchase (a 12% rise from a year ago). Despite systematic growth in customer numbers and submitted invoices, the value of invoices has diminished.
