10% profit tax for SMEs


Small- and medium- sized businesses (SMEs) would pay 10% instead of 16% profit tax on the first Ft 5m of the tax base if meeting certain conditions, Prime Minister Gyurcsány announced. The 10% profit would apply on SMEs enjoying no other tax preferences and paying at least double of the minimum wage to employees.  Source: Budapest Business Journal
