Daniel Bielsa
General Manager, Spain and LATAM, CODIX Group

Daniel has more than 15 years of experience in the SCF sector. He previously held the positions of Business Analyst and Project Director in the CODIX Group. He has taken his SCF expertise to CODIX Bulgaria, and he also oversaw the opening of CODIX Mexico and CODIX Colombia subsidiaries, developing the business in the region. Currently Daniel is based in Madrid where he leads on several SCF implementations and manages the teams in Spain and LATAM. He graduated in Business Administration at the University of Zaragoza with a Master's degree in International Business Management.

Daniela Bonzanini

Daniela Bonzanini is the Chairman of FCI. She has had a long career in international trade and factoring with more than 30 years’ experience in international factoring. Her knowledge of the factoring industry has greatly contributed to the development and implementation of new projects mainly focused on innovative products and services. In 2002 she joined Banca IFIS, Italy to start the international activity. She is currently Head of International, responsible for the development of the business and international network. She is also a Member of the Board of the bank’s foreign subsidiaries in Poland and Romania. She was Director of India Factoring and Finance Solutions which was established in India in 2009. From 2006 till 2015 she was a member of the board of A.I.C.E., (Associazione Italiana Commercio Estero) in Milan. She is a speaker at international conferences as well as at FCI Seminars and a lecturer at various universities. After serving the FCI as Chair of the Education Committee, Member of the Executive Committee and Vice Chair, she was appointed Chair of FCI in June 2013 and is currently serving a second term in this role.

Angel Bustos Garcia Tome

With over 18 years of experience in finance, Angel has solid track record in positions of responsibility at a global level and in Asia within the Santander CIB. Since 2016, he has been in charge of the global SCF business. Prior to that, he worked as a strategy consultant at Roland & Berger. Angel holds an MBA from IE Business School.

Roberto Carrasco Truchado
International Business Director and SCF Product Manager, Bankinter

Roberto is director of international business at Bankinter for Spain and Portugal for the corporate and SME segments. He is responsible for Supply Chain Finance and technology in International Business. From 2015 to 2020 he was Professor of International Financing, Macroeconomics at the CEU San Pablo University fro the Master’s Degree in Finance.

Since 2007 Roberto has managed teams, networks and customer portfolios. Currently, he is immersed in an exciting project to help Bankinter consolidate itself as a benchmark bank in international business for companies in Spain and Portugal. He has a PhD in Economics and International Relations with a postgraduate degree from ICEX and IEB.

Raja Debnath

Raja is the Managing Director and founder of Veefin Solutions, a global thought leader in SCF solutions. Raja Debnath is an SCF and MSME technology and advisory professional-turned-entrepreneur. He is a former IFC Senior Global Advisor for SCF and SME Banking and has advised over 25 financial institutions globally. He set up the SCF and SME banking advisory practice team at IFC South Asia and launched their SCF programmes in multiple countries across Asia and Middle East.

Sean Edwards

Sean Edwards is Head of Legal at SMBC Bank International plc, part of the Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group. He is a Special Adviser to the Trade Finance Department of the bank and in the Trade Innovation Unit. Sean is Chairman of the International Trade & Forfaiting Association (ITFA). He helped draft the Uniform Rules for Forfaiting (URF) and the Standard Definitions for Techniques of Supply Chain Finance published by ITFA, ICC, FCI, BAFT and the EBA. He is a former member of the Executive Committee of the ICC Banking Commission and the ICC Working Group on Digitalisation in Trade Finance. Sean is a member of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Trade Finance Expert Group. He is a non-executive director of KomGo S.A. Sean has written for all the major trade finance magazines and is on the editorial board of Global Trade Review (GTR). He has presented at many conferences.

Francesco Fabbri

Francesco has a Master’s degree in Law and Business Administration and in 2018 achieved an Executive Master’s in Business and Administration from SDA Bocconi. Francesco joined Eni in 2015 and since 2019 has been part of the procurement department where he delivers initiatives to support Eni’s vendors’ energy transition and financial resilience.

Alex Garkov
ESG Account Executive, Sustainable Finance, EcoVadis

Alex is leading EcoVadis' development and deployment of their sustainable finance solutions for banks, fund managers and financial institutions. These include an ESG risk management solution for investment managers as well as ESG-linked lending and sustainability-linked supply chain finance solutions for banks and other lenders. Previous to EcoVadis, he worked in alternative funds at an independent AIFMD depositary provider for 7 years in London. He completed his undergraduate degree at King's College, London in 2014.

José Antonio Garrote Pazos
Business Manager, Alvantia

José Antonio Garrote is the Business Manager at Alvantia, and has more than 20 years of experience in developing banking projects for Spanish and international financial institutions. He is a computer engineer and led the development of Santander Bank's SCF product in the late ‘90s. Since that success, José has mainly focused his career on trade financing, and has also managed SCF projects in many different financial entities and banks such as Liberbank and Banesto, as well as Santander. José has been heavily involved in several landmark projects, including managing the deployment of Santander Bank’s Spanish SCF application in the UK and Mexico, as well as the development of the bank's SCF application for their international branches.

Nieves González Ferreiro

With more than 13 years of experience in the factoring market, in 2017 Nieves became the Head of BNP Paribas Factor Spain. Before this, she gained extensive experience in the world of banking in entities such as La Caixa, Santander and Fortis Commercial Finance. After BNPP acquired Fortis, Nieves continued being Commercial Director, developing and expanding the business in Spain to become one of the companies with the highest volume of business in the factoring market. In 2020 she became a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Factoring Association (AEF). She graduated in Economics from Universidad Europea in 2000. She completed an MBA at IE Business School in 2008 and more recently a PDG at IESE Business School in 2022.

Bob Gravestijn is a digital business model enthusiast and specialises in business model innovation, ecosystems, partnerships and platforms. He is recognised for his expertise on supply chains, working capital, business sustainability management, and web3: the blockchain-based web including cryptocurrencies, NFTs, decentralised finance, and more. At present, Bob works both as a strategic ideator and business booster at The Value Department, and as a business developer for ABN AMRO Bank. In addition, he's a subject matter expert for the Global Supply Chain Finance Forum, has been featured in BCR's World Factoring Yearbook 2022 and has spoken at several events, including WTO's Global Trade and Blockchain Forum, and SCCMP EDGE conference. Joaquin J. Krijgsman

Joaquin is a pioneer in the development of Structured Trade and SCF solutions for financial institutions (FIs), fintechs and corporates. After two decades at ING Bank where he initiated the corporate receivables finance business in Spain, and set up their global SCF business, he started his own consultancy, focusing on supporting FIs in getting started in SCF. Joaquin has been a regular speaker and trainer at conferences on SCF topics. Since 2020 he has been Head of Structured Trade and SCF at FINAMCO.

Dilawar Khan
EMEA Head of SCF Origination and Structuring, MUFG

Dilawar (Dil) Khan, EMEA Head of SCF Origination and Structuring, joined MUFG in 2016 in San Francisco and moved to London in 2019. As part of MUFG EMEAs working capital solutions team, Dil leads the origination for payables and confirmed receivables transactions in EMEA. Prior to his current role, Dil covered technology, media and telecom clients in the US for MUFG (and previously for HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank) for working capital solutions including Receivables Purchase, Distributor Financing and Supply Chain Financing. Dil started off his career in corporate coverage prior to moving into the working capital space. Dil has a BSc, an MBA and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from London School of Economics.

Karel Krejčí
VP Sales Europe, Calculum

In October 2023, Karel joined Miami-based Calculum, an AI platform around Working Capital improvement, as VP Sales Europe. Previously, he worked at Accenture’s Global Treasury, and Working Capital Practice from September 2022 as Principal Director focusing on SCF & Trade Finance at the CoE in Barcelona, Spain.  Karel still holds a consulting position with Accenture.

Karel has had 15+ years of experience within Fintech as Sales Director and Head of Sales for Prime Revenue, Demica and C2FO. His positions consisted of originating, closing, implementing and growing new deals on supply chain finance for Top 500 (equivalent) companies, and covering the whole spectrum of working capital; also, at EY as Director Working Capital and Treasury Solutions within TAS (Transaction Advisory Services) in Prague, Czech Rep. and IFC (Branch of the World Bank) to support banks in emerging countries (Africa).

Karel is a strong believer in new alternative solutions (green solutions, ESG impact…), and has a big interest in metaverse, AI, GenAI and their impact on day-to-day business.

Mark Mandula
Chief Learning Officer, BCR Publishing; Senior Vice President, United Capital Funding

Mark is an internationally recognised factoring expert, speaker, author, serial entrepreneur, and servant leader. He is Senior Vice President of United Capital Funding, a Tampa Bay, Florida B2B and B2G SME commercial finance professional services firm. He was Principal/ Managing Partner from 2000 to 2017 when the firm was acquired and has also served in a National Sales Director capacity. Since formation, United Capital has grown eighty times in annual employed capital to B2B and B2G SMEs and is projected to exceed US$1bn in NFE in 2022. Mark has also become an equity owner of BCR Publishing and will serve as Chief Learning Officer. In this new role, he will lead the expansion of programmes and best of breed events for BCR Publishing on a global basis. He believes that “power in knowledge, but only when shared.” Effective January 1, 2024, Mark is serving in a new role at United Capital “of counsel” and anticipates investing his time speaking and teaching SMEs and others globally on the power of factoring and other topics of current interest. Prior to joining United Capital in 2000, he was principal and shareholder in an investment banking firm that completed over 200 bank industry mergers and acquisitions over more than 20 years. Following that, he was owner and CEO of a leading credit industry business and was nominated as an Entrepreneur of the Year. He holds an MBA and BBA in Finance and is a 2012 graduate of the Certificate in Private Capital Markets from the Graziadio Graduate School of Business at Pepperdine University, Malibu, California. He has been actively involved in multiple non-profit boards including Eckerd College, Tampa Bay Research Institute, and others. Mark is a regular international speaker and has participated in over 250 international conferences and has had more than 1,200 articles published online and in ABA Banking Journal, Mergers & Acquisitions, BCR Publishing, FCI and other commercial finance global industry publications both online and in hard copy. He has also contributed to several editions of the World Factoring Yearbook, published by FCI and BCR on a global basis.

Alma María Abad Irzusta
President, Spanish Factoring Association (AEF), Director of Financing and Services, Caixabank

Alma has 25 years of experience in Trade Finance, Asset Finance and Working Capital, managing the deal process from inception to completion. She is current President of the Spanish Factoring Association (AEF) and is Director of Financing and Services at Caixabank. Her previous roles were at Barclays, S.A.. Fortis Leasing Iberia, Caixa Leasing and Factoring amongst others.

Mónica Martín Blanco
SCF Consultant, FCI

Mónica Martín Blanco is a lawyer and supply chain finance (SCF) specialist, born and raised in Spain. Mónica holds a Master’s degree in Law and International Commerce from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the International Chamber of Commerce. For 24 years at Santander, she held various roles in the international and legal department related to SCF products and was responsible for the expansion of the product in Latam, Europe and Asia. After leaving Santander, she has helped to build, promote and advocate for FCI’s reverse factoring solution, FCIreverse. She is also a consultant for ADB and IFC and has helped central banks and private institutions to develop SCF products in multiple regions including south-east and central Asia, Latin America, North and sub-Saharan Africa. She is the Spanish representative for the SCF industry for the Legal Committee of the European Federation at the European Commission.

Sunil Mascarenhas
Supply Chain Finance Specialist, Asian Development Bank

Sunil Mascarenhas has worked at the Asian Development Bank as a relationship manager of the Trade and Supply Chain Finance programme since 2019. His main responsibility is to manage relationships with global banks to maximise transaction volumes, provide excellent client service and ensure constant vigilance in assessing and monitoring risk. Aside from that, Sunil is responsible for driving initiatives to deploy supply chain finance to newer developing markets and helping local banks in those markets to launch supply chain finance businesses with a view to making finance available to SMEs. Sunil has been working in the banking sector since 1998. Before joining ADB, Sunil worked at HSBC across multiple roles and had worked in various roles in Trade and Supply Chain Finance, Commercial Banking and Risk Management.

Dr Maria Mogilnaya
Expansion Director, SupplierPlus

Dr Mogilnaya specialises in facilitating trade in emerging economies and promoting the adoption of digital solutions in trade and supply chain finance. She has a particular interest in supply chain finance, green trade finance and digitalisation. Since April 2022, she has led the regional expansion and sustainability-linked product development at SupplierPlus, an Estonian fintech specialising in supply chain finance. She holds a PhD in Banking Law and Regulation from De Montfort University (2012) and a Diploma in Jurisprudence from Saint-Petersburg State University (2004). From 2011 to 2022, she worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development within its Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP), where she managed the award-winning Green TFP and the trade finance business delivery across several regions.

Paolo Monaco
Director, Financial Products SME Finance & Development, EBRD

Paolo is Director in the EBRD’s SME Finance & Development group. His main responsibilities include new product approvals, fundraising, operations and compliance functions for operations across more than 30 countries. For the past ten years at the EBRD, Paolo has focused on a number of new product launches, including, amongst others, supply chain financing and advisory, social impact bonds, and digital advisory. Prior to joining the EBRD, Paolo worked in the hedge fund, private equity and investment banking industry, focusing mostly on acquisitions and disposals.

Peter Mulroy
Secretary-General, FCI

Peter Mulroy is Secretary General of FCI, the world’s largest network of factoring companies, with its headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Peter was previously Senior Vice President, International Regional Manager and Managing Director with CIT. He is a past Chairman of FCI, and has served on the FCI Executive Committee for over a decade. Peter has an MBA from Thunderbird, School of Global Management in Arizona. As Secretary General, Peter assists banks, regulators and governments in introducing the concept of and educating people about the role of factoring. He addresses audiences around the world on the subject of factoring and international trade and is generally regarded as an ambassador for the factoring industry.

Sandra Nolasco
CEO & Co-founder, Twinco Capital

Sandra is an experienced banker and specialist in trade finance, with an international career spanning over 20 years. Before setting up Twinco Capital, she was Managing Director at BBVA and Head of Structured Trade Finance. She joined BBVA in 2009 having held several senior global positions in both structured and transactional trade. Sandra started her trade finance career with the Fortis Bank commodity trade finance team, first in Rotterdam dealing with asset-backed finance, then in London leading the structured commodity portfolio in Latin America and finally in Sao Paulo, as Chief Representative Officer Brazil. Before she ventured into the trade finance arena, Sandra worked as an associate consultant at Mckinsey & Co in Portugal, and at Semapa S.A. as an internal advisor. Sandra holds a MSc in Economics and an MBA from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal.

Claudia Perri

Claudia is Regional Commercial Director covering Southern Europe, DACH, MENA and Czech Republic at Lendscape, the world's leading technology provider for all forms of secured finance. Over the last 15 years, Claudia has worked with some of the largest banks and financial institutions around the world, helping clients to grow and make SME finance more accessible through digital transformation and process reengineering. Luis A. Puch is Professor of Economics at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Research Director of the Instituto Complutense de Análisis Económico (ICAE). He holds a PhD in Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and has held research and teaching positions at Universidad Carlos III, European Economic Association, Universidad Valencia, Universidad País Vasco/EHU, IMT Lucca, EUI Florence, Universidad Intnal Menéndez Pelayo and Universidad Autònoma de Barcelona. He was a researcher for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, CEPREMAP Paris and FEDEA Madrid and advisor for Secretaría General de Presupuestos Ministerio de Economía y Hacienda, Abengoa, Banco Sabadell, Crea MNN and Metrovacesa. He has published research articles in Journal of Economic Theory, Review of Economic Dynamics, Energy Economics and The BE Journal of Macroeconomics, among other international journals. His most recent research analyses the aggregate consequences of investment and innovation decisions by firms, and the implications of these processes for economic growth, energy use and the environmental concerns.

Niraj Rambaccussing

Sheilesh (Niraj) Rambaccussing acquired 13 years of experience in various industries before joining the financial sector in 2008 as Head of Card Sales at Barclays Mauritius. In 2012, he joined the Business Banking Team and was awarded Best RM for Mauritius as well as the Barclays Eagle Award for integrity in 2013. He was at ABSA Capital for a short period before joining CIM Finance as Head of Corporate and SME in 2017. He then joined SBM Group as Head of Factors in 2018 where he managed to turn the company around and make it profitable within 18 months. In 2020, with the support of his team, he embarked on the Reverse Factoring project with FCI which will go live in January 2023. Niraj is also a member of the FCI as African Ambassador and is a dynamic, motivational, passionate, and self-driven individual.

Bart Ras
Managing Director, Working Capital Finance Origination, Pemberton Capital Advisors

Bart Ras is Managing Director in Working Capital Finance at Pemberton. He is responsible for solving clients’ most pressing issues related to the financial flows in supply chains. Prior to joining Pemberton in 2021, Bart held senior positions at Greensill Capital, HSBC London, Citibank, Philips NV and ING Bank. He has over 10 years’ experience in supply chain finance and was Head of Business Development for HSBC Global Trade and Receivables Finance in 2013 and 2016. Bart has been a part-time research fellow since 2017 at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands.

Emilio Sanchis

Emilio is a senior trade finance leader with over 25 years’ experience in the banking industry with a strong international background. He is responsible for driving the GTRF business in continental Europe achieving sustainable growth, reducing RWA and increasing returns. He has delivered the transformation of HBCE to the target-state model in the GTRF blueprint hubbed model in Paris supported by shared services. He has improved efficiency and cost reductions through digitalisation, re-platforming, nearshoring and offshoring. He provides support to the CMB and GB coverage teams through the GTRF teams to meet the corporate and commercial customer base needs. He has jointly created with the CEOs of HSBC branches in various countries GTRF teams to support their needs with a focus on retaining talent.

Aparna Soni Bhalla

With more than 15 years’ experience, Aparna Soni Bhalla is a Relationship Manager with ADB’s Trade and Supply Chain Finance team working with multiple banks in various regions, spearheading the bank’s goal to promote and grow supply chain finance. Prior to this, she was at Standard Chartered Bank building relationships and growth for the bank's corporate banking business, predominantly in the areas of credit, client coverage and transaction banking

Lionel Taylor
Managing Director, Trade Advisory Network

Lionel Taylor is a trade, supply chain and invoice finance specialist with more than 30 years experience in senior leadership roles with major financial institutions including RBS, Rabobank, Citibank and Lloyds Banking Group and with non-bank independents.

Now Managing Director of Trade Advisory Network Limited, which specialises in the strategic development of global supply chains, trade and invoice finance with a client base of regional banks, independent finance providers, fintechs and technology providers, his key areas of expertise include new business strategy, turnaround, organisation design, new product design, product management, marketing, origination, credit, team building and training.

He has extensive experience of operating in Asia where he led the cooperation on trade and supply chain finance between RBS and Bank of China, established an independent finance company facilitating trade between Asian and Western SMEs and assisted in the development of the Chinese factoring industry. Today, he continues his close involvement in the region, working with government agencies, banks, independent funders, investors and others who are looking to promote and extend trade and supply chain finance in the region.

He currently is a Non-Executive Director of a growing UK-based fintech, sits as the independent credit committee member for another non-bank finance provider and is also co-author of the ICC Academy’s Advanced Supply Chain Finance online course, a core module of their CTCP programme.

He continues to be engaged in advising a number of financial institutions, fintechs and technology providers on the development of their trade and supply chain finance businesses and is frequently invited to comment and write for specialist international trade publications as well as chairing and speaking at international events.

Javier Torres Riesco
Chairman, SAREB

Javier is a trained economist and a financial and banking expert who combines in-depth technical knowledge in the field of risk management, treasury and capital markets, banking resolution and crisis management with unique practical hands-on experience in senior management positions in both the private and public sectors. As Director of Resolution and Strategy at FROB, the Spanish Resolution Authority, he played a leading role in the resolution of Banco Popular in 2017, the first resolution case under the Banking Union’s new legal framework. In his 30 year career in a Spanish G-SIB, he has held senior positions in global risk management roles and headed a variety of business units ranging from structured finance to private equity and capital markets. This included the development in 1991 of an SCF service which became known as confirming and has since become very popular in the Spanish market. After serving as a non-executive director on SAREB’s board for 18 months, he was appointed as Chairman in April 2022.

Federico Travella
Founder and Executive Chaiman, NoviCap

Federico is a Belgian-Italian technology entrepreneur and co-founder and executive chairman of Novicap, a venture capital-backed financial technology platform that is building the operating system for working capital. Federico was previously a Managing Director at Rocket Internet where he was pivotal in scaling technology ventures in Asia Pacific and Africa. His most notable involvements were in Lazada (acquired by Alibaba; NYSE: BABA), Jumia and The Iconic. He holds a Master’s Degree in Marine Geology from Ghent University and is a Young Talent Fellow at IESE Business School. Federico also advises the EU Commission on its innovation and entrepreneurship agenda.

Anil Walia
Director, Supply Chain Finance, Deutsche Bank

Anil Walia heads Deutsche Bank’s SCF Payables in EMEA. After completing his Master’s degree in Plasma Physics a few decades ago, Anil took the not-so-obvious career decision in banking. The journey took him through India, the Middle East and finally to Germany. Along the way he has headed sales for trade finance and gained experience at various stages in his career in the south-east Asian, eastern European and European markets. He picked up an MBA in financial management on the way. Anil is an SCF veteran, who got his wings in the fledgling days of SCF in 2000 at JP Morgan. He has been a key contributor to the growth of SCF, as technology and documentation evolved, accompanying the first transactions that took place in Europe. Anil was elected in 2015 to the Who’s Who in Treasury & Cash Management for Supply Chain Finance and in 2018 was one of the key contributors to Deutsche Bank’s Payables Finance, A Guide to Working Capital Optimisation (2nd Edition).

Alberto Wyderka
Regional Director for the Americas, FCI

Alberto Wyderka is responsible for strengthening and expanding the network of FCI factors in the Americas region and spreading knowledge of international factoring. Alberto has been a member of FCI’s Executive Committee for 18 years and has held the position of Vice Chairman several times. In 2007 he was elected Chairman, the first Latin American to be appointed in that position. Alberto was the International Business Advisor of TANNER Servicos Financieros, the largest non-bank owned factoring company in Chile reporting to its President and Representative in Argentina. Previously he was SVP, Head of Trade Finance of Banco Galicia and CEO of Galicia Factoring, the first company to introduce international factoring in Argentina. He was previously the Resident VP of Citibank, Argentina as well as the Head of Foreign Trade Operations and Senior Product Manager of International Products.
