Riddhi Bhandari

General Manager, IFSCA

Riddhi is a distinguished financial sector professional with over 18 years of extensive experience in regulatory policy, banking, and financial sector development. She currently serves as General Manager at the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), where she plays a pivotal role in spearheading the formulation and advancement of regulatory frameworks across the banking, non-banking, and payment and settlement domains.

Prior to her tenure at IFSCA, Riddhi spent over a decade at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), where she was deeply involved in shaping key regulatory and policy initiatives. She also brings valuable industry experience from her earlier role at ICICI Bank. Over the course of her career, she has made significant contributions to policy formulation, with a particular focus on strengthening and modernizing the trade finance ecosystem in India.

Her work has been instrumental in developing enabling frameworks for the establishment of factoring companies, as well as issuing guidelines covering factoring and forfaiting. She has also contributed to advancing digital trade finance platforms, facilitating the adoption of trade credit insurance, and enabling capital relief mechanisms for factoring transactions—thereby improving liquidity and risk management within the financial system.

In addition to her policy work, Riddhi is a strong advocate for improving access to trade finance for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). She is a regular speaker at outreach programs and industry forums conducted in export-oriented zones, where she collaborates with stakeholders, industry leaders, and government officials to discuss key enablers, regulatory developments, and policy measures aimed at fostering SME growth and enhancing financial inclusion.
