Supply chain finance USA 04-08-2025 FedEx, J.P. Morgan, Oracle partner to streamline working capital FedEx has entered a strategic collaboration with J.P. Morgan Payments and Oracle to streamline working capital access and liquidity management through embedded financial technologies. The initiative integrates J.P. Morgan Payments’ Supply Chain Finance (SCF) directly into Oracle Cloud ERP, enabling FedEx to offer early payment options to vendors and improve working capital efficiency. This native integration replaces the need for traditional six-month ERP customisations, delivering rapid, turnkey activation. J.P. Morgan Payments—processing over US$10tn in transactions daily across 160+ countries and 120 currencies—brings a full suite of treasury, trade finance, and card solutions. Oracle, a global ERP leader and long-time J.P. Morgan collaborator, embeds these financial tools within its platform, enabling clients like FedEx to enhance operational resilience and financial performance. The solution allows FedEx to configure SCF functionality via Oracle B2B. Once invoices are approved, suppliers can opt for early payment, financed at rates aligned with FedEx’s credit profile, or continue with standard terms. This flexibility supports liquidity across the supply chain. This integration builds on J.P. Morgan’s “Integrated Trade Finance for Oracle Fusion ERP,” introduced at Oracle CloudWorld 2024. FedEx also employs J.P. Morgan’s Liquidity & Account Solutions and Kinexys Digital Payments—a blockchain-based platform—to optimise notional pooling in Europe and Asia Pacific. In addition to SCF, J.P. Morgan Payments has developed plug-ins for Oracle Cloud ERP, including integrated banking for fast bank onboarding and real-time data access, touchless expenses powered by AI automation, and integrated virtual card to simplify B2B payments via straight-through processing. Collaborating since 2022, the three companies have enhanced financial connectivity and automation for dozens of joint enterprise clients. Oracle emphasized the partnership’s role in unlocking embedded banking and liquidity services through AI-enabled ERP capabilities. J.P. Morgan highlighted the project as part of its broader effort to drive financial innovation and support client growth through embedded solutions. FedEx reported that leveraging J.P. Morgan’s SCF and liquidity tools, tailored to its operational needs, has strengthened its financial position and improved resilience—ultimately benefiting suppliers, customers, and shareholders. #embedded finance#FedEx#J.P.
