According to EBRD, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has provided loans to two more private Belarusian banks.

 

 

Fitch Ratings has assigned state owned Export-Import Insurance Company of the Republic of Belarus a financial strength rating of B, with a stable outlook.

Complex regulatory procedures, including tax administration, business registration, business inspections, and obtaining operating permits impede private sector development of business in Belarus

The International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, released the results of a survey entitled Business Environment in Belarus at a presentation attended by high-level state officials.

The National Bank of Belarus will lower its refinancing rate to 28 per cent from 29 per cent on October 22, the bank said in a press release.

The decision is based on actual and forecast inflation rates for 2003.
