HSBC has appointed new chief executive for New Zealand


Burcu Senel, who has worked for HSBC for 15 years, is named the new CEO of HSBC New Zealand. She joins from HSBC UK, where she was Global Head of Sustainable Finance for Global Trade and Receivables Finance. Prior to that, Senel held different senior managerial positions in business development, strategy, and corporate cover.

Burcu takes over from Rob Roughan, Country Head of Wholesale Banking, and interim chief executive in HSBC New Zealand since August 2020.
