This year, BMF - German factoring association for medium-sized companies - celebrates its 20th anniversary and with it, the success story of factoring in Germany.
“Factoring is increasingly understood by medium-sized companies as an amplifier for growth, but also as an instrument to overcome crises and to restart with a rapid flow of liquidity. Twenty years ago, there was a considerable need for explanation”, says Michael Ritter, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Federal Association of Factoring for Medium-Sized Enterprises (BFM). From a niche product, the factoring market become a developed market regulated by BaFin.
