Euler Hermes opens a branch in Lausanne

World number one credit insurer has reinforced its presence on the Swiss market. As well as the branch in Zurich, Euler Hermes has opened a branch in Lausanne to provide the companies of the French speaking part of Switzerland with its services.

Foreign trade - Export insurance and credit

The Export Risk Guarantee Agency (ERG), which is based in Zurich, provides export insurance. Conditions are based on law SR946.11 of 1958 and subsequent amendments. Companies apply directly to the ERG.

Electronic signatures gain legal status

Electronic signatures will carry the same legal weight as written ones, when a new law comes into force in 2005. The groundbreaking move puts Switzerland among the first European countries to recognise e-signatures.

Boost to small and medium size enterprises

An initial amount of ў21 billion loan agreement for the Trust Bank Limited has been signed between the Swiss State Secretariat (SECO), the Swiss Government's agency for developmental finance and the bank in Accra yesterday.
