SMEs are very depressed about the United States economy: When will this impact the Factoring Industry? – Part 1


There is an increasing amount of financial and other data that is pointing to a very challenging and downright ugly economic near-term future and forecast for the United States economy, SMEs, and consumers. The conversation has shifted nearly overnight from a fragile economy to recession or worse and the plunge in equity markets to bear level markets this week seems to be signaling very tough times ahead. The Federal Reserve’s decision to increase the nominal interest rate 75 basis points this week to quell inflation fears instead has accelerated the pace of trillion Dollar losses and more on the capital and domestic stock markets. And SMEs and consumers are asking a simple question more and more: when will the recession come and how bad could this get?
