Scott Ettien Scott B. Ettien
, Executive Vice President, Financial Solutions & Global Head of Trade Credit, Willis Towers Watson

Scott is the US Trade Credit Practice Leader for Willis Towers Watson. Scott and his team specialize in providing Trade Credit insurance expertise for financial institutions and corporations. Scott joined Willis in 2010 and has built a strong team, mostly made up of former Trade Credit policy and risk underwriters to place and service programs for our various clients.

Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson in 2010, Scott worked at Atradius Trade Credit Insurance, Inc., which is the second largest credit insurance company worldwide. Over his 25 years at Atradius, he held positions in accounting, direct sales, and was the head of sales for the East Region. Scott spent the last five years as the Director of Global for North America. In that role, he was responsible for the commercial development of large global business from both a sales and commercial underwriting perspective. Scott was elected to the Atradius Trade Credit Insurance, Inc. Board of Directors in 2005.

Scott holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Baltimore.

David Lacey
Partner, Stephenson Harwood

David has wide-ranging experience of receivables-based financing and the particular issues that arise in debt purchase arrangements. His work has included advising on implementing invoice discounting structures in various industry sectors, preparing standard documentation for high volume discounting structures and bespoke cross-border European discounting structures. David has also advised banks and other finance providers on the use of discounting structures in conjunction with traditional debt structures.

Mark Ling
Head of Trade & Working Capital, Santander Corporate & Commercial Banking

Mark joined Santander to drive the development of its International business across the UK in May 2014. He is responsible for International Origination across our Large Corporate business (£50 + Turnover) nationally and for our Trade Finance, Supplier Finance and Invoice Finance Products and solutions across SCCB. Mark represents the Bank in numerous forums in particular the BBA on committees that focus on Exports and Trade Finance. Also acts as lead for our relationship with UKEF. Prior to joining Santander Mark spent 12 years at RBS leading various businesses and teams throughout its Large Corporate, Institutional, Corporate and SME business. He was instrumental in building the FTSE 350 business around the Trade and Supply chain financing disciplines. Mark began his career as a management trainee with Standard Chartered bank where he worked across the UK branch network, in London and in Asia for 20 years. As well as leading Corporate and Institutional Banking teams across a variety of sectors, geographies and segments he also developed Standard Chartered’s Supply Chain Financing proposition, leading a Global team in Singapore. Mark is passionate about developing international business across the corporate and commercial segments and creating the next generation of Exporters and skilled international bankers

Margrith Lutschg-Emmenegger
Advisor, Quaterback

Margrith Lütschg-Emmenegger has worked in Trade Finance with a special focus on Forfaiting and Factoring for most of her professional life, first with Barclays Bank, and then Midland Bank Aval in London before joining West Merchant Bank where she had Global responsibility for forfaiting and factoring. Margrith joined FIMBank as EVP, responsible for Business Development and was appointed to President in 2004. She retired to become an Advisor to the FIMBank Group and other industry members. In 2014 Margrith was awarded the highest decoration of the Republic of Malta, the National Order of Merit, in recognition of her 'exceptional contribution towards the common good of the Maltese and the development of Malta as a financial centre.' Margrith was educated in Switzerland and was a member of the board of the Swiss Association of Forfaiters in 1983, and also founding Chairman of the Association of Forfaiters in the Americas in 1995. More recently in 1999, Mrs. Lütschg-Emmenegger co-founded the International Forfaiting Association (IFA) were she served as Deputy Chairman until 2003. In 2013 Margrith was elected as Chairman of International Factors Group (IFG). She has also been a regular speaker on the subject of trade finance for many years travelling around the World teaching audiences the benefits of Factoring and Forfaiting.

Mike Vince
Founder, MRVince

Mike founded his own sales training business: MRVince Ltd, after a 30-year career in the Invoice Finance industry. His most recent role was MD of Innovation Finance. His CV shows he began at Lloyds International Factors in 1984 and worked for Barclays, Close Brothers and Nucleus Commercial Finance. Starting as a data input clerk, Mike has held roles in client management, credit and risk, new business sanction, change management consultancy, sales and sales management. Whilst with Lloyds, Mike lectured in Factoring at the City University Business School. “I’ve had experience in every department of an Invoice Finance company. Balancing sales and credit has been the most challenging. I recently established my own business and will use my experience to train the next generation of sales professionals” Mike lives in Worthing with his wife, his golf clubs and three drum kits.
